What business problems were you trying to solve with RowShare?

We needed a software solution to improve collaborations in our teams, sharing tables, lists, inventories, incidents, etc. Our main need was around the tracking of security incidents to identify root causes, implementing corrective measures, and continuously monitoring the situation to prevent future occurrences.

How were you addressing this issue before using RowShare?

Well, we used some obsolete tools, as Lotus 1-2-3, Microsoft Access, Excel and SharePoint.
They all have their flaws, from the obsolescence of Lotus, to the lack of security segmentation of Excel, to the complexity of administration of a SharePoint site.
We thought and still think, that RowShare, although is not a database, covers our needs of ease of use, ease of administration, robust security, group sharing and collaboration framework.

Why did you choose RowShare over any other alternative?

The most important thing that resolved us to use Rowshare was in one hand, the easiness of use and in the other hand the simple way to handle permissions and groups of users, something that was a must for us. We could manage any configuration of users and groups in autonomy without relying on our IT to make the changes.
Another important thing was the capability of Rowshare to work via web API, and to export and import data, so we could migrate data from old tools, and we can make scripts to load or unload data to other systems as well.

The most important thing that resolved us to use Rowshare was in one hand, the ,easiness of use ,and in the other hand ,the simple way to handle permissions and groups of users, something that was a must for us.

Security Operations Manager, Caixa Bank

You went for the on premises version of RowShare. How did implementation go? Did you need help?

From the moment we got the infrastructure ready, the implementation was a 2 days work with Rowshare consultants, a job very easy and fast including setup, technical training and end user-training. They helped us and trained us in the use of the tool very quickly.
It also has to be said that how the tool is so easy to use we did not have many inquiries.

Who are the RowShare users in your company?

We use RowShare within the Security Department, in charge of dealing with the technology solutions needed to facilitate the work of our security teams.

This is about 250 people, working in small teams of 5 to 10 users. With different roles and permissions, so some people can only edit or view their data, and other groups can edit or view their data and some of the others. Very very few people have a global view of all our security related events.
The granularity and easiness to perform security segmentation of the data was key for us when choosing RowShare.

We use RowShare to handle daily tasks that need to be written down and logged, we are using it very intensely, 24/7.

What is your favorite aspect of RowShare? Would you recommend it?

The best part is the ease of use. We can handle sharing between users and work with the data in a very simple way.
We would recommend the solution, to work with tables in small groups of users. It meets our demands.
